Patient Care Spotlight: Ron F.

Ron F., Radiology Technologist

After nearly 18 years in our on-site imaging department, Ron is jokingly called the CEO of X-Ray. He helps our orthopedic doctors identify fractures through technology. While some people fall into this career, it was on Ron’s radar from a young age.

A native of Clearwater, he worked for a major optical lens company after graduating from Osceola High School. A special government-funded program eventually allowed him to complete x-ray technician training and follow his ideal career path.

“I’ve always liked helping people,” he says of his position at Orthopedic Specialists. “And I like the doctors a lot. They are all nice to work for and I enjoy working hand-in-hand with them.”

While Ron spends many hours in the confines of the x-ray suite, he spends as much time as possible outdoors. He enjoys running three miles a day, going on cruises, and visiting his family's cabin in North Carolina. He and his wife have three children.
