Dr Taylor Beatty is above excellence when it comes to his craft. I received a second opinion with Uof M and the plan of care was identical; however Dr Beatty took into account my ability to do an extensive surgery in 2 parts vs UofM one day. In the end Dr Beatty was correct. Needing blood and other complications was foremost in his mind; he anticipated these obstacles. He allowed me to recover slowly and as pain compliant as possible.
His entire staff , although not at the hospital, seemed to care about my situation; especially Kathleen. I value them all and for what Dr Taylor Beatty did for me, I love them all. No one better.
I know you must get tired Dr Beatty but I pray God gives you peace of mind and comfort daily to keep helping others. Your amazing just for what you did for me and my messed up back. Where others failed you soared.

I was referred to Orthopedic Specialists on March 2024, by a close family friend, following a failed total knee replacement I had undergone approximately six months earlier. Instead of experiencing gradual recovery, my condition was steadily deteriorating, leaving me increasingly debilitated. Desperate for answers and relief, I sought a second opinion.
During my initial visit, I was referred internally to Dr. Christopher “Chris” James, an orthopedic surgeon who specializes in complications related to total knee replacements. From the very beginning, Dr. James demonstrated genuine understanding and compassion regarding my situation. He carefully listened to my concerns and took the time to gather all relevant medical records and surgical documentation. He thoroughly assessed my current condition and clearly explained his findings and theories as to why I was in pain and not healing as expected.
His thoughtful and methodical approach gave me a renewed sense of hope. It was evident that he aimed to understand the full scope of my case before recommending a path forward. Although I was eager to undergo a revision surgery, Dr. James emphasized the importance of exploring other treatment options before making such a significant and irreversible decision. His guidance was both reassuring and empowering, helping me to feel that I was finally on the right path toward recovery.
After several months under Dr. James’ care and treatment plan, he determined that a revision surgery would be necessary for my full recovery. Although the thought of undergoing a second knee surgery within a year made me apprehensive, I felt reassured knowing that Dr. James would be performing the procedure. I had full confidence in his expertise and compassion, and it gave me hope that this time, I might finally heal properly.
Dr. James' unwavering commitment to my health was evident at every appointment. He always took the time to listen attentively to my feedback and concerns, and he made sure I clearly understood his recommendations before proceeding with each step in the treatment process.
In June 2024, I underwent my revision surgery, and I’m happy to say it was a success. As always, Dr. James thoroughly explained his surgical approach, what to expect during recovery, and the long-term outlook. His attention to detail and dedication to patient care never wavered.
Now, in June 2025, while I am still in the healing process, I can confidently say I am a walking testament to Dr. James' skill, care, and commitment. Having gone through such a critical procedure—and the heartbreak of it initially going wrong—I am forever grateful to have met Dr. James. He was truly my guardian angel during a time when I feared I might never walk properly again.
Thank you to the entire Orthopedic Specialists staff, and especially to Dr. James, for restoring my hope, my mobility, and my courage to reclaim my health. You have made a lasting difference in my life. God Bless!!!

Seamless, professional, friendly, and informative from start to finish. Dr. Boltuch replaced my left shoulder a couple years ago but leaving the group he was with and out of my insurance coverage at the time, I was not satisfied with the short follow-up from that practice. When I learned he was back in my BayCare insurance, I made the appointment for a follow-up and so glad I did not only to find out everything is fine but that he really wants to follow me once a year for five years. He is an outstanding individual and Orthopedic Specialists is fortunate he is part of their team. Thank you!

I had a great experience withDr James and my physical therapist Cindy , Cindy was amazing and truly went above and beyond for helping me recover and get back on my feet she was so incouraging and loyal and committed to helping me I with the worse injury I have ever had .
