I had a very satisfying visit with Dr Maiocco. I saw him for a consult after a visit with another orthopedist and an MRI that was confusing and contradictory. He did a full exam for my condition and went over the MRI step by step, something my orthopedist never did. Instead of reflexively recommending surgery as was done with my prior orthopedist, he conceded that there were options aside from surgery. And he concluded that if his imaging came back the same as mine he would be doing the same thing I was doing. He came highly recommended from my physical therapist who treats some of his patients post surgery and who stated that all of the outcomes she has seen from his surgery have been positive ones. I can easily recommend him as either a primary or consulting physician.
